A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message when needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical information when a visitor loads a page:

- The referring website, when one is supplied

- Visited pages and time spent on them

Cookies and Analytics

The published material explains how to reach the Brunswick County Sheriff's Department, Brunswick courts, Virginia State Police CCRE, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a dossier about another person.
